An EN 1092-1 Type 01A Flat Face Plate Flange made of ASTM A182 F316L stainless steel is a flat, circular steel disc with bolt holes but no hub or raised face. It is designed to be welded directly to a pipe or fitting and uses a full-face gasket (flat sealing surface). The material F316L is a low-carbon, molybdenum-bearing austenitic stainless steel that provides excellent corrosion resistance, especially against chlorides and acids, and resists sensitization after welding.

EN 1092-1 & ASME B16.5 / B16.47 Flange Which One to Use?

EN 1092-1: Requires standard number, type, DN, PN, material, manufacturer, heat number.
ASME B16.5: Requires manufacturer name or trademark, material designation (e.g., A182 F316L), class, NPS, schedule (if applicable), B16.5, and heat number.
