ASTM A268 TP405 stainless steel tube is a ferritic and martensitic stainless steel tube for general corrosion-resistant and high-temperature service. TP405 grade corresponds to UNS S40500, and is a straight-chromium ferritic stainless steel grade with controlled aluminum content, which is designed to improve weldability and reduce brittleness compared to conventional 400-series stainless steels. Different from welded tubes, TP405 stainless steel seamless tubes are produced by hot rolling and cold drawing/rolling processes with no welding seam, delivering unified metallographic structure, superior pressure resistance, and consistent mechanical performance. SS405 grade is ferromagnetic, features moderate corrosion resistance, excellent high-temperature oxidation resistance, and good formability after annealing treatment. It is widely used in medium-temperature industrial systems requiring anti-oxidation, anti-corrosion and stable structural performance.

Standard Delivery Condition:

- Heat Treatment State: Fully annealed (bright annealing or ordinary annealing), eliminating internal stress, optimizing toughness and weldability, no quenched or tempered state for conventional delivery.

- Surface State: Pickled and descaled, no oxide scale, no rust, no cracks or folding defects; customized polishing/brushing available.

- End Treatment: Tube ends flat cut and deburred to remove burrs, convenient for on-site welding and assembly.

- Packaging: Waterproof paper wrapping + steel strip bundling + plastic pipe cap protection; plywood box packaging for precision small-diameter tubes, suitable for long-distance sea and land transportation.
